Cardamom Flavored Choco-chip Cupcake

This is a simple cup cake recipe which I actually made for my family as a small treat. I have used all homely ingredients and I know you would like this recipe as my family and friends did.

Ingredients

2 cups of All Purpose Flour

3/4 cup sugar

2 eggs

1/4th cup ghee ( butter or oil also works well)

5 tbsp of milk

1 tsp of cardamom powder ( I used crushed seeds of 4 cardamom pods)

Choco-chips to your liking (honestly there is no such thing as more choco-chips so go crazy :P)

3 tbsp of yogurt/ curd

1 tsp of baking soda

Recipe

Mix the sugar and ghee well and then add in one egg at a time and whisk well. Add in your yogurt and combine well.

Add your cardamom powder or crushed seeds in this mix and then add in your flour and baking soda. It is a good practice to pass the dry ingredients through a sieve to make your cake more fluffy.

Line your cupcake tins with more ghee/oil/butter and add a table spoon or so to the molds. Once you fill the half of your tin add your choco-chips and spoon in more cake batter over the chips. Fill all your cake tins and then add more chaco-chip on the top

You can even add the choco-chips and bake this cake in a regular cake tin for 35 to 45 mins in 350 degree Fahrenheit or 180 degree Celsius.

If you choose to make the cupcakes as I did, bake the cupcakes for 20 to 25 mins or until a toothpick comes clear from center.

One small tip for giving your cake more color is, after the cake is completely baked, leave it in the top rack for roughly 5 to 10 minutes, but keep a close eye to avoid too much browning on the cake.

Your cardamom flavored cupcakes are ready to be enjoyed. I served mine with a glass of chilled milk, but they go well with a warm cup of tea too. I love them for munching by itself too....
