Ingredients :
1 cup whole wheat flour
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup milk
1/4 cup butter / oil
1 egg
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
1 tsp baking soda
Recipe :
Mix your dry ingredients( wheat flour and baking soda) in a bowl and mix well. Note that sugar is not a dry ingredient. In a separate bowl whisk in egg and sugar and later add in your butter, vanilla extract and milk and mix well. Then fold in your dry mix in this wet mix slowly and mix until well combined. Do not over mix your cake batter.
Then line your baking tray with butter and parchment paper and pour in your cake batter. You can avoid the paper and grease your cake tin well. Bake your cake mix at 350 degree Fahrenheit or 180 degree Celsius for 30 mins or until your tooth picks comes out clean. You can bake this batter in your cooker too. Once baked, let it cool completely before you flip it. Your simple Vanilla Wheat Cake is ready.
