Wheat Bread with Pantry Staples

Bread making can be challenging but this is a easy one and even a beginner to bread making can make. Also, it has no fancy items and you will find everything on your pantry. So let's get started.

Ingredients -

1 and 1/2 cup wheat flour

1/2 cup all purpose flour

1 egg

1/4 cup refined oil. ( I used sunflower oil)

1/4 cup Milk

1/2 cup yogurt

1 tsp sugar

2 tbsp Baking soda

Choco chips (Optional)

Recipe-

In a large bowl, crack an egg and add the yogurt and mix till the egg and yogurt is well combined. Add in the milk and oil and mix well. Add sugar for little sweetness.

Add the wheat flour and all purpose flour and baking soda and mix well. Do not miss out the all purpose flour or your bread will be too dense to cut in.

Top your bread with choco chips. You can use rolled oats or any nuts of your choice too instead of choco chips.

This is a sticky dough and once all the flour is mixed in, it's better to bake it right away as the reaction between the baking soda and the yogurt has already started.

Bake the cake at 400 degree Fahrenheit or 200 degree Celsius for 30 to 35 mins or until its brown on crust and forms a small cracks.

Bread likes a hot oven so pre heat the oven to a higher scale.

Also, do not open the door while baking, no matter how hard it is to resist.

Let it rest in the oven and then transfer to a cooling tray to completely cool.

I normally just use the excess tray from the oven for cooling.

Once completely cooled, you can use it as a normal bread for sandwiches, toasts and many more.

We made toast cheese sandwich with it for our lunch.
