If your looking for a easy recipe for chicken but you don't want a chicken curry then look no more. This is an easy chicken recipe which can be made with store cupboard ingredients.
Ingredients -
Chicken - 200 grams (2 chicken breasts)
Soy sauce - 3 tsp
Hot sauce - 2 tsp (use which ever one is your favorite)
Chilly Powder - 3 tsp
Pepper Powder - 2 tsp
Salt - as per taste
Oil - 4 tbsp
Onion - 1 whole diced
Red pepper / Capsicum - 1 whole diced
Garlic - 3 tsp minced
Whole chilly (Optional) - Minced 2 tsp
Coriander (Optional) - 3 tbsp
Spinach (optional) - Diced 1 cup
Recipe-
In a bowl, take the chicken and mix it with soy sauce, hot sauce, chilly powder, pepper and salt and keep aside. Let it sit for 15 minutes at least to marinate.
In a pan, take oil and once its hot, add minced garlic and whole chilly and mix well. Now add in the onions and red pepper and saute well.
Once the onion is soften, add in the marinated chicken and cook until the chicken is cooked through. Do not close the pan and mix well to avoid sticking to the pan.
After the chicken is cooked through add in the optional diced greens (spinach) and coriander and mix well. The greens will cook down considerably and you won't get the taste of it.
Serve hot with plain rice or some fried rice or anything you desire.
